Guidelines
GUIDELINES OF HSR

 

Target Group
To target those youth who are minimum eighth pass and in the group of 18 to 28 years. (the upper age limit has been raised to 28 years with effect from 11th november, 2010).

 

Courses Offered
The following three courses will be offered by IRCTC.

  1. A six-week full time course in food & beverage service.
  2. An eight-week full time course in food production.
  3. An eight-week full time course in Bakery & patisserie.

 

Each Course will also have a built-in emphasis on improving the trainees in behaviour and attitudes in order to enhance their market acceptability.

 

Intake and Selection

Admission is open to all aspiring youth fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria i.e. minimum 8th pass and of the age group 18 years to 28 years.
Candidate willing to pursue the above courses can submit the application in the prescribed format at IRCTC Office, IRCTC Central Kitchen, A-60, Sec-64, Noida.The prescribed format can be downloaded from Home menu's Application Form option or can be collected from aboved mention office.
Application received are registered in the order of date and time received. Candidates are communicated to get their certificates verified and offered admission in a particular batch as per the registration number.

Candidates are admitted to the applied courses strictly on "First Come First Serve (FCFS) basis".
Presently IRCTC is conducting the two courses in a batch of 25 trainees each.

Stipend
A trainee with a minimum attendance of 90% will be paid lump sum stipend of Rs. 1,500/- in respect of the 6 weeks course and Rs. 2,000/- in respect of 8 weeks course.

 

Study Material & Tool Kit
All HSR trainees shall be provided with tool kit (For practical classes) and study material free of cost, during the course.

 

Lunch
All HSR trainees shall also be provided with lunch on all working days during the course.

 

Certification
The trainees with minimum attendance of 90% will be required to appear in an end-of-the-course test and those who pass it successfully will be awarded joint certificate of the NCHMCT and IRCTC. For the purpose of this test, there will be one internal and one external examiner.
